Ultrasonic Maintenance knowledge: The ultrasonic mainly consist of ultrasonic generator and the ultrasonic transducer. The transducer is made of Zirconium lead titanate piezoelectric materials, which the size would change under the effect of electronic field, and therefore, would vibrate under the effect of alternation field.

Normal ultrasonic system: Current in Normal vibration part( transducer+ amplitude transformer) is between 0.3A and 0.8A,the amplitude is between 1% and 10%.

 

One-high current, larger amplitude or screaming while unloaded.

Solution:
1) Adjust the frequency adjustment(a coil),until the currency and amplitude at the lowest point, then turn the amplitude higher by 1%.
2) If the above doesn’t work just replace the HORN

Two-The ammeter shows higher than the table indicate.
Solution:

Check the HORN, amplitude transformer and transducer, if there’re cracks, then the set of vibrator (transducer +amplitude transformer +Horn) is disordered, or put off the HORN adjust the system until resonance, if it is normal, replace the Horn.

Three-Current normal with unwanted noise while cutting.

Solution:
Check the vibrator(especial the Horn),to see if
1) It is touched by sth unwanted.

2) The roller is level (rotating the level adjustment screw).
2) The screw is loose or broken by vibration or not.
3) There’re spots on surface.

Four- The light in switch not lit

Solution:
1,check the source is connected or not.
2check the fuse is broken or not, if yes then:
A. If the horn is broken, put the vibrator off and check it on a normal ultrasonic system(as the solution two indicated)
B. Unfold the ultrasonic to see if the “power enlarging board and then the “vibration trigger board” is burned(check by replacing a normal one) ,then replace the fuses(5A).
